Duke of Edinburgh Award

Greenfields School are also a registered centre for the Duke of Edinburgh’s award (DofE). We believe that a DofE experience provides an additional dimension to our existing educational provision, which will have a profound impact on participants by providing them with the chance to develop skills for work and life, fulfil their potential and have a brighter future.
This has four sections which together aim to develop students by:

1- Volunteering – undertaking service to individuals or the community – undertaking service to individuals or the community

2- Physical – improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities

3- Skills – developing practical and social skills and personal interests

4- Expedition – planning, training for and completing an adventurous journey
